Biography:

Amber Bruns is a master level instructor at Rhapsody Arts Center, teaching piano and saxophone. She holds a B.A. in Music from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where she studied classical piano under Dr. Gloria Cook and Dr. Gary Wolf, as well as saxophone and theater. She also holds an M.M. in Piano Pedagogy from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN, studying under Dr. Carmen Wilhite. Amber is also a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.

Prior to joining Rhapsody, Amber was an adjunct instructor at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL. There she taught college-level piano and music theory in private and group settings. She also taught piano at The Music Academy in Rockford, working with all ages and skill levels in private traditional lessons as well as private and group classes through the Suzuki method.

Amber has studied a wide range of music from many cultures and musical periods. She loves to share her passion with all of her students, teaching them to use safe and effective piano techniques so they can become confident and independent players.
