Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Rollins College in Florida, Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.

Amber Bruns is excited to join the faculty of Rhapsody Arts Center as a piano instructor. She holds a B.A. in Music from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where she studied classical piano under Dr. Gloria Cook and Dr. Gary Wolf, as well as jazz saxophone and
theater. She also holds a M.M. in Piano Pedagogy from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN, studying under Dr. Carmen Wilhite.

Prior to joining Rhapsody, Amber was an adjunct instructor at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL. There she taught college level piano and music theory in both private and group settings. She also taught piano at the The Music Academy in Rockford, working with all ages and skill levels in private traditional lessons as well as private and group classes through the Suzuki method.

Amber has studied a wide range of music from many cultures and musical periods. She loves to share her passion with all of her students, teaching them to use safe and effective piano techniques so they can become confident and independent players.
