Emily Worzalla

Voice, Piano, and Special Projects

Ms. Worzalla has taught private lessons and classes at Rhapsody Arts Center since 2010. She specializes in classical voice and piano and also frequently teaches musical theatre and pop. Emily’s perspectives on teaching are rooted in her background as a self-started musician. Her lessons reflect the importance of technique and music theory as well as the pursuit of students’ individual music interests and abilities.

Emily’s students participate in activities such as Rhapsody Arts Center’s annual Sonatina Festival and student recitals, WSMA Solo and Ensemble, school and community musical theatre productions and Madison Youth Choirs.

Ms. Worzalla is a soprano in Madison Chamber Choir and a solo vocalist with Madison College’s Jazz Combo. She also sings at weddings and loves performing with her colleagues at Rhapsody Arts Center. Additionally, Ms. Worzalla directs the Barry Robinson Mens Chorus and the Chancel Choir at Salem United Church of Christ in Verona. Emily is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Sigma Alpha Iota Alumnae Association.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has studied piano with Mickey Lytle and Dr. Donald Patterson; and voice with Kathryn Proctor-Duax, Jessica Riley, and Julia Faulkner.
