Meghan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she earned a master’s degree in voice performance. She has been teaching voice lessons for over 8 years and has experience accompanying and musical theater coaching.
She obtained a Bachelor of Music in voice performance from Penn State University, University Park, PA. She also studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria where she trained intensively for performance of the German Lied. Locally, Meghan has performed with Madison Savoyards, Ltd, Fresco Opera Theatre, and Middleton Players Theater. Roles performed include Dorothy Brock (42nd Street), Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro), and Katisha (The Mikado).
A native of Pennsylvania, Meghan taught private voice and piano in the Pittsburgh area for 5 years. She served as a vocal director for community theater productions and musical theater camps and in Madison has worked as a vocal coach and music director with The Children’s Theater of Madison.
Singing should be uncomplicated, easy, and free. Therefore, Meghan strives to work with her students on building the core fundamentals of healthy vocal technique that will help them to discover their own, unique voice!
