Melissa Ludois is a native of the northwest suburb of Chicago, Schaumburg. She went to Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where she held positions such as principal flute of the Bradley Symphony Orchestra and Section Leader in the Bradley Wind Ensemble. She is a 2005 winner of the annual Bradley Concerto/Aria Competition. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor in Music Education. From there she taught high school band in Northern, Illinois and moved up to Madison in 2007 to teach at St. Maria Goretti Elementary. She is currently a teacher at SMG where she teaching general music K-8.
Since her move to the area, she has also become a member of the Sun Prairie Community Band, and is the Vice President and Assistant Director of the Madison Flute Club.
She loves to share her love of the flute with students and will get a chance to perform whenever possible.
Her nonmusical hobbies include running, knitting, and watching movies!
