Becky Morgan
Cello, Chamber Ensembles
Master Level Teacher

Becky Morgan started playing cello in her elementary school in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of ten. She participated in her school and community youth orchestras and soon began formal lessons. When her family moved to Madison in 2000, Becky joined the orchestra at James Madison Memorial High School and the WYSO (Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras) Youth Orchestra. She also took lessons with Karl Lavine and formed a string quartet with other students.
In the fall of 2003, Becky began cello lessons with Parry Karp at UW-Madison. Throughout her studies as both an undergraduate and graduate student, she has played chamber music, participated in the UW Symphony and Chamber orchestras, and expanded her repertoire by playing in the Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and learning baroque cello for the Early Music Ensemble. Becky has also enjoyed coaching chamber music for WYSO the past two years and teaching cello lessons and chamber music through the university.
