Heather
Growing up in McFarland, WI, Heather was fascinated with color and it has never faded. Art class was her favorite course in school. In grade school, she eagerly adorned herself with an art smock, creativity emerged. In high school, her first oil painting class left a lasting impression. Heather discovered her passion. She admired individuals true to their conviction. Georgia O’Keefe’s pieces walked her through the corridor of color. Salvador Dali’s pieces exemplified the surreal.

Graduating from UW-Oshkosh with two business degrees, Heather worked in the operations arena for 10 years. During this time frame, she transitioned from realism to abstract art. Initially, she enjoyed capturing the finest details of an image. As the years passed, Heather began looking for greater expression and people began asking for larger oil paintings specific to their space. In parallel, she was yearning for greater freedom; her abstract pieces emerged. The transition was magical. Looking closely at life, she decided to utilize her 15 years of oil painting experience and follow her dreams. Heather created her art business in 2007.

Heather’s paintings are inspired by dreams and waves of energy. She specializes in commissioned oil paintings for residential and commercial venues. Working closely with people and understanding how they want to feel in their space is crucial. Developing a strong creative relationship is fulfilling; clients become friends. Beyond her studio-gallery, you will see her originals at Stevens Design, Kesslers Diamonds, UW Hospital and more. In an effort to give back to the community, Heather donates locally and nationally to various causes and features other local artists.

Heather enjoys the freedom of teaching organic art lessons. Each person is unique as is each lesson. Helping others tap into their creativity and exploring are highly rewarding. People often assume they are not creative but are happily surprised with their end result. Heather provides a safe and nurturing space, guiding each individual. Heather loves the rich pigments of oils, the wonderfully creamy texture, the use of various tools such as a paint brushes, pallet knife, sponges, and more. Heather has found painting to voice her inner most feelings.
