Percussion

Born in Beloit and raised in Clinton, WI, Rojo Carranza discovered his talent for music at a young age and started drumming at the age of 11.  Immediately he fell in love with what he could do with his music.  He took part in many different music programs that included Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Pit Band, Marching Band, and was even a part of two amateur garage bands in his hometown.

With a lot of practice and support from his family, he was able to focus his talent and go on to the Rock Valley Conference Honors Band two years in a row and State Solo & Ensemble four years in a row with many instruments and groups such as various snare drum solos, percussion duets/trios, percussion ensembles, and the high school jazz band.

Mr. Carranza attended UW-Whitewater and participated in the marching band and pep band programs.  He is currently enrolled at Madison College and plans to transfer to UW-Madison with a major in International Business.

Rojo is excited to share his love of music and passion for teaching with the percussion students at Rhapsody.
