Sonya Clark*

Master Level Teacher

Sonya holds an M.M. in Piano Performance/Pedagogy from UW-Madison, where she studied under the guidance of Todd Welbourne and Jessica Johnson. She has been an active member of the MTNA-UW collegiate chapter, an organization of graduate students committed to bringing music to the community.
Sonya received her B.A. in Piano Performance, Cum Laude, from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, where she studied with Dr. Lisa Campi. During her time in both Madison and Durango, she has been active as a private teacher, chamber musician, soloist, and accompanist. In Durango, she was the pianist for A Little Trio, a clarinet, violin, and piano trio dedicated to the performance of various twentieth century works. She has also served as a pianist for the San Juan Symphony.
Sonya started her B.A. at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO, where she studied and worked closely with Dr. Michael Baron. She performed regularly and was active there as well as a private teacher. While at Mesa State College, she was able to study in Urbino, Italy for two weeks, where she participated regularly in master classes and performed in public concerts.
