To say that artistic blood runs in Liz’s family is an understatement. Liz has been submerged in the world of the arts for as long as she can remember. Being from a family of artists, there have always been creative endeavors happening.
In college Liz focused on visual arts, concentrating specifically on painting, and pursued a minor in architectural art history and a secondary in women’s studies. While living on the East Coast she participated in gallery shows in New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York. She even can claim fame internationally, as some of her watercolors and sculptures are displayed in England.
After leaving Rutgers, Liz decided to move to Wisconsin. She has a fully functional art studio located in nearby Madison where her creativity flows. In her works you will find a wide variety of materials: oil or latex paint, found objects, inks, watercolors, ceramics/polymers, glass, fiber arts, charcoal and other dry drawing media, living plants, paper and more. Her family has a running joke that cheese wax is another favorite medium for her. Like her grandmother, she believes an artist should try many different techniques and styles in an effort to further their own work and designs. Allowing the creativity to take hold and make an adventure where it may.
